Why many heated blankets don’t solve the real problem

In everyday life, feeling cold often has little to do with the lack of a blanket. The issue is usually where the warmth reaches the body. On the couch, it’s often the back that cools down first. When sitting still, warmth escapes quickly, and classic heated blankets only work as long as you lie flat and don’t move. Cords limit flexibility, and heavy blankets become uncomfortable fast.

The Stoov Huge Hug Woolly was designed to address exactly this gap: a wearable heated blanket with battery that delivers warmth close to the body, without restricting movement.

—

What makes the Huge Hug Woolly fundamentally different

The key difference isn’t the heating technology alone, but the wearable form factor.
Instead of lying on top of you, the Huge Hug Woolly wraps around your upper body. This keeps warmth where it’s most effective—especially along the back and torso—while allowing you to stay mobile.

The Woolly fabric plays an important role here. It’s exceptionally soft, lightweight, and insulating, which means the blanket is genuinely comfortable even without the heating function activated. From our perspective, this is crucial: it’s a product you’ll naturally use, not just switch on when it’s cold.

—

How the heating function supports comfort

The integrated infrared heating technology provides even, deep warmth up to 58 °C, distributed in a way that feels natural rather than intense. Three clearly defined heat levels allow controlled adjustment—designed as a targeted comfort boost, not as a constant heat source.

The system runs cordlessly on a rechargeable battery (Flex or Pro), offering up to 5 hours of runtime depending on the setting. For us, safety is non-negotiable: heat output is regulated and TÜV-certified, ensuring consistent warmth without overheating or pressure points.

—

When we recommend the Huge Hug Woolly

At Campanions, we see the Huge Hug Woolly as a flexible everyday solution for situations where classic blankets fall short:

On the couch at home – added warmth along the back without turning up the heating
Working from home – staying warm while remaining comfortable and mobile
On a camping chair – cozy warmth during cooler evenings
In a van or rooftop tent – as an additional insulating or heated layer
On the go – when you’re sitting still but don’t want bulky layers

Its strength lies in combining comfort, mobility, and optional warmth in one product.

—

When other options are the better choice

The Huge Hug Woolly is ideal when body-close warmth and freedom of movement matter most.

The Stoov Big Hug is the better choice if you’re looking for large-area warmth while lying or sitting, covering as much of the body as possible with evenly distributed heat.

The Outchair Comforter is more suitable when you need a durable, heated underlay—for sitting or lying on damp ground or on a mattress in a van or rooftop tent.

Inner structure: Integrated infrared heating elements, flexible and evenly distributed

Battery: Removable (Flex or Pro), not permanently attached

This material setup ensures the Huge Hug Woolly feels like a high-quality blanket, not a technical device.

Care Instructions

To ensure long-lasting performance, we recommend the following care routine:

Always remove the battery before washing
Gentle wash cycle at low temperature (max. 30 °C)
Do not tumble dry – air dry only
Do not iron and do not dry clean
Avoid harsh detergents and fabric softeners

Proper care helps maintain the fabric quality, heating performance, and overall comfort over time.
