Productinformation in detailA fold-out tent that doesn’t feel like a compromise
The Eiger 160K-V2 is a classic fold-out rooftop tent – but with details that stand out the moment you set it up.
A stable aluminum base, a genuinely comfortable mattress, and no heat-trapping skylight.
Just gear that works, trip after trip.
🟨 Fast setup, solid foundation
Setup takes about 5 minutes: unclip the cover, pull the ladder, unfold, and you’re done.
The telescoping 230 cm ladder doubles as a lever to open the tent, then locks in at a 70° angle for support.
Once it’s open, you’ll notice what’s different:
-
The aluminum checker-plate floor is strong, non-slip, and feels stable underfoot.
-
XXL hinges create extra room inside – you can leave your pillows or sleeping bag in the tent when closed.
-
The frame is made of 25 mm aluminum tubing with steel joints and anti-condensation sleeves.
It’s a fold-out tent – but it doesn’t fold on stability.
🟨 Designed for sleep, not for show
Many tents come with a clear plastic skylight. This one doesn’t – on purpose.
Why? Because even a small skylight can turn your tent into a greenhouse the minute the sun comes up.
Instead, the Eiger keeps things cool and dark:
-
FRID-coated fabric (flame-retardant, inside dark)
-
A zippered TAF roof vent for airflow at night
-
No skylight, no glare, no 5 a.m. heat trap
-
4 large openings with BPM insect mesh, roll-up shades, and full blackout capability
Sleep longer, cooler, and more comfortably – even in summer.
🟨 Everything you need is already here
No extra kits, no upsells. What you get is a full setup:
-
6 cm memory foam mattress (SG33 rating), with washable cover
-
Anti-condensation mat under the mattress
-
12V dimmable LED strip – pre-installed
-
Two shoe bags, attachable outside
-
Storage net inside the tent for small items
-
All mounting hardware (stainless steel) included
-
Cover made from 680 g/m² PVC with quiet click-in straps, no flapping metal hooks
It’s a clean setup that just works – no fine print.

🟨 Our take – Eiger 160K-V2 at Campanions
This isn’t the lightest tent out there. And that’s a good thing.
The Eiger is made for travelers who value stability, good sleep, and gear that doesn't cut corners.
It won’t win awards for gimmicks – but it’s the tent we’d take on any trip where comfort, airflow, and reliable hardware actually matter.
