Kelty designed the Grand Mesa with simplicity in mind. The freestanding dome structure works on uneven ground, gravel, or grass. Two lightweight aluminum poles keep it stable without adding bulk, and the Quick Corners setup system means it pitches fast—even when you’re on your own. It’s the kind of design that earns its reliability through repetition, not gimmicks.

Inside space that just makes sense

Both the 2-person and 4-person versions share the same functional layout. One large vestibule gives you space for packs and boots, while the no-see-um mesh inner tent keeps the air flowing and the bugs out. It’s straightforward comfort—just enough room, just enough ventilation, and no wasted space.

Materials that matter – strong, weather-ready, and PFAS-free

The Grand Mesa isn’t built to impress in a showroom; it’s built to last in the field. The 68D polyester fly and floor feature a PFAS-free C0 DWR coating for solid water resistance and quick drying. With a 1200 mm hydrostatic head and fully taped seams, it keeps the inside dry during long stretches of rain. The 7001 aluminum poles are corrosion-resistant, durable, and light enough for long carries.

Two sizes, same dependability

The Grand Mesa 2 weighs around 2.7 kg, perfect for solo trekkers or lightweight duos. The Grand Mesa 4, at about 3.3 kg, gives you extra space for friends, gear, or even the dog—without turning into a bulky family tent. Both versions share the same stability, quick setup, and long-term reliability that define Kelty’s design philosophy.
