The LifeStraw membrane microfilter eliminates 99.999999% of bacteria, 99.999% of parasites, 99.999% of microplastics, sludge, sand, and turbidity. Additionally, the activated carbon filter reduces chlorine, organic chemicals, and odors to enhance taste.
The product meets the requirements of the US drinking water standards set by EPA and NSF P231.
It is effective in removing bacteria and parasites and also complies with NSF standard 42 for chlorine reduction.
The product includes a membrane microfilter that can filter up to 4,000 liters and an activated carbon capsule that can filter up to 100 liters.
The pore size of the filter is 0.2 micrometers.
